…a new Basketball Program for 1st/2nd Grade Boys and Girls!
Welcome to our 1st/2nd grade basketball program, where we teach young athletes the fundamentals of basketball while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun. Our AEF skill instructors will guide your athlete safely in learning how to dribble, shoot, pass, and defend. Our program also emphasizes character development, teaching young athletes to work together, support one another, and give their best effort. We create an environment that fosters respect, kindness, and a true love of the game!

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: December 24th
Teams
Each team will consist of 8-10 players and a Parent Volunteer Coach. Players should register individually and will be placed on teams based on grade level and gender. Players may request teammates and coaches at the time of registration.
Practices
Shooting Stars practices will be held on Wednesdays beginning January 3rd from 5pm – 6pm at our NEW Courts at AEF Academy (9226 S. 99th Circle in Papillon).
All practices will be led by an AEF Skill Instructor and facilitated by Parent Volunteer Coaches. Parent Volunteer Coaches MUST be present for every practice and game. It is suggested that each team provide a head coach and assistant coach to ensure a coach will always be present at games and practices.
All Parent Volunteer Coaches will receive a $50 credit on their athlete’s account to be used for future AEF programming!
Games
AEF Shooting Stars will play in The J League at the Jewish Community Center (333 S. 132nd Street), which runs from January 13 – March 10. The J League plays 5v5 basketball on a full sized court, with a 7 game guarantee and NO ADMISSIONS FEES for games. All Shooting Stars games will be coached by Parent Volunteer Coaches.
